My wife and I were watching my mom's health deteriorate to the point that the senior care facility where she was living was no longer able to provide for her individual needs. She needed more one-on-one attention in a smaller setting, but we were lost as to where to begin finding such a place, where she would feel safe and comfortable. Before we even began to move in that direction, a friend of mine, whom I highly respect, told me told me of Cornelia, a licensed and experienced caregiver herself. Her services helped us to walk through the process of finding a place where mom would be at home and have a high ratio of care. Her company is called Better Living Lifestyle. When we met Cornelia and her associate, Heather, we were impressed with their heart for the mounting needs of elderly men and women, and providing resources in smaller nurturing and medically knowledgeable homes. We told them my mom's needs, and what would make her comfortable. Cornelia and Heather exceeded our expectations, personally escorting us to several high quality residences, where we met the caregivers and their clients, and viewed the grounds. These homes helped make their clients members of the family, gathering together for meals and social activities. Our questions were welcomed, and we did not feel pressure to make an immediate decision. We chose a lovely home we felt would make mom comfortable and well cared for. There was no direct charge for their services. They receive a placement fee from the home the client chooses, after the client is settled in the home.

Having worked unsuccessfully with a couple of other placement services, I was so pleased and relieved to connect with Cornelia at Better Living Lifestyle! I felt that she took special care in listening to my concerns and requirements. She helped me to understand that the right Adult Family Home could provide much better care for my mother than the nursing home where she had been for three difficult months. She quickly connected me with three viable options without wasting my time. I am truly grateful for Cornelia's help and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone needing to make placement decisions for their loved ones.
